In 2020 we all came across different challenges, especially with major changes in the educational and working fields. Many children and employees remained home and tried to adapt to this new lifestyle. Learning and working from home is great because the world deals with a pandemic, but it has some difficulties too. How are you supposed to learn and work if you don’t have the necessary device, like a laptop or a tablet? Last year we had 3 donation campaigns to support children who don’t have access to online school.
In November, together with our long-term partner in CSR, Viitor Plus Association, and your help, we managed to buy and deliver 7 tablets to children in need from Galati, Iasi, Medgidia and Cernavoda. These kids couldn’t participate in the online home-schooling until now, because they didn’t own a laptop or a tablet. Together we made these kids smile by giving them a chance to continue their studies during these difficult times. As we know, education will always be the most powerful weapon which can change the world.
During our countdown to Christmas activities we replaced the usual Secret Santa gift exchange with a donation. With the support of our colleagues, we managed to raise 3060 RON that went to the Bikers Association in Timisoara to buy tablets. We chose this association after a recommendation from our colleagues in Timisoara. We managed to bring happiness to 6 families with a very difficult financial situation, who’s kids learn in the same school in Lugoj. They depend of only 1 mobile phone for home schooling.
This is not all, the company, DTSE Romania, also donated 1000 euro to MAME Association and they also bought tablets for children in need.
The beneficiaries of these donations were children from various grades (from 1st grade to 12th grade) and we were impressed of their way of understanding, collaboration and solidarity. We highly support education and we consider it a priority in the life of children.
We made a difference together last year and we made life easier for some kids that are the future of the country. As we know, education will always be the most powerful weapon which can change the world.
