We’re always happy to add another award to our portfolio, especially when it recognizes our efforts in terms of innovation. This year, we won the 2nd place at the The Association of Business Service Leaders in Romania (ABSL) gala for Business Innovation, with HireVue, our digital recruitment tool.
ABSL is a leading organization representing the business services sector in Romania, gathering high profile companies which conduct business in the area of Shared Services Center (SSC), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), Research and Development (R&D) and companies contributing to the sector’s growth. Every year, the association organizes the ABSL Awards Gala to honor and award the Romanian companies’ innovative solutions, performance and many more.
The last year wasn’t an easy one, yet we managed to be more efficient by digitalizing one of our most important process: the recruitment We implemented a state-of-the-art selection tool: HireVue. In the tool, our HR experts can offer potential candidates an end-to-end hiring experience with functions such as: recorded interviews, live interviews, code testing, cognitive, psychological testing and much more. All in a user-friendly, mobile-friendly, branded environment.
Almost instantly, we could measure an impressive satisfaction rate, which is currently at 90%. Our spectacular results in terms of satisfaction, efficiency, and time-to-hire, led to us selling the project to other Deutsche Telekom entities.
The project was initiated in January 2020, as one of our many digitalization initiatives, as DTSE Romania has a steadfast focus on digital transformation.
The innovativeness HireVue brings to us
We analyzed our recruitment process and concluded that the time-to-hire wasn’t very long but it was split in too many steps, making the overall experience for our candidate and HR experts strenuous. The next action was to decide whether we look for an external provider or we build the solution in-house. Taking into consideration the factors of time and cost efficiency, we started researching the market for external solutions.
HireVue offers a compact package, covering all recruitment needs, and this is precisely what makes it unique and gives us a competitive advantage. We now offer our candidates a user and mobile friendly experience in a magenta branded digital environment. At the same time our HR experts have a wide range of options for candidate selection, such as: recorded interviews, live interviews, ratings, code testing, cognitive and psychological testing, and much more.
We’re incredibly proud to win the 2nd place in such a high-end gala, that recognizes the innovative aspects in the business services sector. We’re also motivated by our results and we’re looking forward to implementing HireVue in more entities within the Deutsche Telekom Group. We’re currently implementing the digital recruitment tool in 7 companies and 7 more will follow.
